When it comes to your precious home, it doesn’t pay to cut corners when you need work doing. You need a professional, experienced outfit like us who will ensure that the work you need is carried out to the highest standards and with the minimum of fuss and bother.
It is often helpful if you can provide a photo of the job you need doing in order to help us assess the time it will take and what tools and materials will be required. We also suggest that customers have a couple of little jobs in reserve in case the work is completed quickly and our tradesman has time left over in the booking. Make the most of him while he is there!
If you book a half day or a full day, you will be charged our flat rate. If you make an ordinary booking, you will be charged by the half hour (minimum of one hour for plumbers and electricians). However, if you book, say, 2 hours and the work is completed in one hour, you will only be charged for one hour.
If you can, it will save you time and money. Otherwise, we are happy to source your materials but do charge a 25% mark-up. A £20+VAT sourcing fee may also be applicable. If you are charged this fee, you will not also be paying the tradesman’s hourly rate.
We will book a one hour arrival window, so for example, we might say your tradesman will arrive between 10:30 and 11:30. As we all know, getting around London and the Home Counties can be a challenging and unpredictable business. Some of our tradesmen drive vans and others ride scooters. They all know their way about, but sometimes road conditions are difficult, so we need this degree of flexibility to avoid disappointing our customers.
The tradesman will show you the work ticket detailing what he has done, and any charges for materials, parking etc. If you agree the total, you can sign the ticket and the tradesman will take payment over the phone. You will then be sent a receipt by email.
We require 48 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking, otherwise a late notice charge will apply. For bookings at either i) our fixed day rate or ii) scheduled for after 6pm or a Saturday, the charge is the total estimated value of the booking. For all other bookings, the late notice charge is £20+VAT
