“I am not Samantha Cameron, nor am I a reader of ‘Tatler’ magazine. I am however a tenant in a rented room and when a reluctant landlord was unwilling to repair a collapsed bed and a wonky Argos wardrobe, I called The Handy Squad after a few minutes Googling. The man that came round was actually early and went to great lengths to fix the back of my wardrobe and align the doors properly. At one point I told him he had done more than enough but he worked to his own high standards not mine and wouldn’t stop until he had done as good a job as humanly possible. The bed was righted just a few minutes later. At the end of the job genuinely impressed I offered him a £20 tip but he gallantly refused. That might even have been the highlight of the call-out. ” (Anthony)

“I was so impressed with this service. Mick was 5 mins early and politely called to tell me he was here if it was convenient. I'd submitted an original lists of jobs but had added to it - which he said wasn't a problem. I was amazed that he even hung the curtain (attaching the fiddly things) himself - I hadn't asked, and wasn't expecting that so it was brilliant. He asked if he wasn't sure about anything, got clarification about widths etc. He got so much done in the 2 hours he was there - and there was no timewasting as I've experienced with other handymen.
